Founded in 2018 by a New Zealander and a Hungarian, Little Fern is a sunny corner café in Poblenou that quickly became one of Barcelona's most talked-about brunch spots. The menu takes its inspiration from New Zealand café culture and the founders' years travelling the world — expect creative, plant-forward dishes that are hard to find elsewhere in the city: corn fritters with guacamole, kimchi pancakes, zucchini fritters, shakshuka, granola bowls with house-made granola, and open-faced sandwiches, alongside homemade breads and pastries. Specialty coffee comes from Ozone roasters, and the drinks menu also covers cold-pressed juices, kombuchas, wellness lattes, and Prana chai. Dogs are welcome, and the warm, textured interior — stone walls, wood panelling, soft ferns — makes it a particularly pleasant place to linger.
